About the Project
Customer was using old APO (Advanced Planning & Optimization) within the S&OP (Sales and Operation Plan) to perform inventory planning which was taking a significant amount of time to collect data manually from a variety of sources including spreadsheets & third-party applications. Also, the number of security roles were too many as per number of plants / planning groups eventually making it very difficult from a maintenance point of view.
Due to the above constraints, the client decided to move to IBP, SAP’s latest cloud-based offering for planning & optimization powered by HANA.
